BREAKING: Ronald Araujo has suffered an injury to his left hamstring.

Earlier today, it was reported that Ronald Araujo has suffered an injury to the biceps fermoris in his left legs. News of Araujo injury comes as a big blow to the Catalan side as he is a vital piece in Xavi’s project.

Araujo also sustained a minor blow before the start of the new season, during the Joan Gamper game against Tottenham and was taken off as he struggled to continue.

The 24-year-old defender could be out for at least one month. He will miss the game against Cadiz, Villarreal and Osasuna. After these games, there will be a two-week international break.

After the international break, the team will return on 17th September vs Betis before their first Ucl game which will fall between 19-20th September. The main goal for Araujo is to be available for selection for our UEFA Champions league opener.

In the midst of all these, it is great news to know that Inigo Martinez is in the final stretch of his recovery and could be available for selection in ten days time. He could make his official debut for the club against Villarreal next weekend.
