Xavi’s press conference ahead of the game against Cadiz; he spoke about his sanction and renewal, Ansu Fati, the right back position, Oriol Romeu, the team’s objective for the season.
With the Camp Nou under renovation, Barca will now play their home games this season at Estadi Olímpic Lluís company’s where they will host Cadiz this Sunday. Cadiz’s away record has been awful since last season as they were only able to secure three away wins in La Liga.
Here is what Xavi had to say ahead of the game on Sunday;
From 0-10, it is 10 there is no problem regarding my renewal.
On Deco and Alemany: It is a lie that I have a bad relationship with Deco, I am very comfortable with Deco, I think we will do a good job together.
I have known about Alemany’s decision for days now. He has done a very good job, I wish him good luck wherever he goes.
On player’s registration: Inigo will join the group next week, we are optimistic about the registration so we have to keep watching.
Xavi on Ansu fati: I have already said this about Fati, he is an important player for us and a part of the club’s heritage, present and future.
When asked about the Right back position: The sport management knows what we need and we are working towards that.
Xavi on the team’s objective: our main objective as a team is playing good football of which requires time and maturity. In La Liga last season we played well in some games and in others not so well.
