JOÃO CANCELO is now a Fc Barcelona player
After going on loan in the January transfer window to Bayern Munich, he returned back to Manchester City after winning the treble and it seems Pep Guardiola has no plans for Cancelo in the squad.
Xavi Hernandez has been an admirer for the right back and can utilize his abilities fully in attack. Cancelo is a great signing for Barcelona because of his versatility. After trying to find a replace for Dani Alves who he left the club in 2015, this is the closest Barcelona have gotten as a replacement with Sergino Dest and Sergio Roberto proving they are not to be counted upon to fill that position.
Cancelo is a big threat to opposition defense with his pace and vision to plant a pass that breaks the defense line. His ability to score from dangerous areas, his long through balls and passing skills are one of the traits every Barcelona player should posses, and Cancelo is the right man.
Barcelona are getting him on loan with an option to buy once his loan spell is finished nex year June 2024.
