Xavi’s press conference ahead of the game against Mallorca at the Iberostar stadium. He spoke about Frenkie’s injury, Mallorca, mistakes made against Celta, Pedri, Gavi, being League leaders, rotations, Raphinha, Vitor Roque and Real Madrid.

Barcelona head into this game as Favorites following a spectacular comeback against Celta last weekend where they scored three goals under nine minutes to win 3-2 and secure all three points. Given that, the Catalan giants have been unbeaten in all competitions stretching their unbeaten run to six consecutive wins across all competitions.
Mallorca will face Barcelona in what could be their worst time for Javier Aguirre, given that Mallorca have lost 13 of the last 14 H2Hs.

Xavi on Frenkie’s injury: De jong’s injury is a big blow for us. Hopefully he can recover well and join the team as soon as possible.
Xavi on Mallorca: Mallorca is a very strong team Physically. They usually play with 5 at the back, it will not be an easy game.
Xavi on the Celta’s game: we have analyzed the game against Celta to see what went wrong for the team and not to repeat such mistakes again.
Xavi on Pedri: Pedri is doing a great job in training and we hope he can join the group soon.
Xavi on Gavi: He is improving and he he has being important to the team not only with his intensity but also with goals and assists.
Xavi on being league leaders: we are back to first place and I have extended my contract, I am very happy. It was a great weekend in general.
Xavi continues: we have a very versatile team. There are lots of players that can play in different positions and this allows us to play in different ways.
Xavi on rotation: we will be Rotating the team every game as the season is still very long. I expect around 2-3 changes per game.
Xavi on Raphinha: He will play more. Like I said earlier the season is long and there will be minutes for everyone.
Xavi on Real Madrid not being happy with the refereeing: It is a question for them, not me.
Xavi on Vitor Roque joining the team in January: There are lot of chances for it to happen. The most important thing right now is for him to return from the injury.
